ROA stands for Remote Online Assessment. This refers to the option for Learners to take their LAMDA exams online using the platform Zoom, instead of in-person. They will be assessed by our certified and DBS-checked UK examiners.

ROA exams are available to Learners based in the UK and across the globe. However, as all our examiners are UK-based, the exams will have to fit into a UK timeframe (generally within the hours of 08:00 and 18:00) and finish before 21:00 local time for International online events.

For example, if you are based in China, your exam(s) may be scheduled between 16:00 and 21:00 local time (between 09:00 and 14:00 BST).

Please note: Local exam time cannot go past 21:00 hours for learners 16 or under and past 22:00 hours for learners over the age of 18.

LAMDA aims to replicate in-person examinations as closely as possible. As such, to ensure that all Learners are assessed in fair and equal manner, there are some technical requirements to adhere to. For more information about this, please see the following:

ROA exams can be booked either as an individual through our Public ROA events (ROAPUB for UK learners, and INTROA for Learners outside the UK), or as one of your own Private ROA events (if you are a registered Private Centre). For more information about this please see here: How to book a Remote Online Assessment (ROA)

Important Information: For Private ROA exams, there is a minimum fee requirement that must be met in order to schedule your own exam. This can be found on the fees list specific to your country. Should you need it, please email us to request this at exams@lamda.ac.uk.
