Effective of 01 January 2027, LAMDA is introducing new Enquiry about Results (EAR) and Appeals policies.


The key changes in the new policies:

  • Introduction of Enquiry types
    • (NEW) Administrative Check – LAMDA will review the Learner Examination Report (LER) and check that all marks and comments are appropriate
    • Assessment Enquiry – Formerly just known as an Enquiry about Results


  • Introduction of Fees for EAR (Assessment Enquiry), Stage 1 Appeal investigations
    • (NEW) Administrative Check - No Charge
    • EAR (Assessment Enquiry) - £30 per application
    • Stage 1 Appeal - £60 per application
    • Stage 2 Appeal - £90 per application


  • Introduction of a cap on the number of Learners that can be added to an application
    • Maximum of 5x Learners per application
    • Multiple Applications can be submitted however, a fee applies to each application taken forward for investigation


  • Additional information provided in relation to grounds for investigation and required supporting evidence


These new policies will take effect from 01 January 2027 and will apply to all examinations taking place from this date.


Any Enquiries about Results or Appeals that relate to exams that took place prior to 31 December 2026 will be subject to the current policy.
