As outlined in our statement on 13th May 2024, from 1st August 2024 and throughout the duration of the current Performance, Communication and Introductory Syllabi (until 2029), learners can choose their Set Pieces* from the following anthologies:
  • Acting Anthology Volumes 4 and 5
  • Verse and Prose Anthology Volumes 19 and 20

For Own Choice Pieces, learners may choose from:
  • Acting Anthology Volume 4
  • Verse and Prose Anthology Volume 19

Learners can also select Own Choice Pieces from older anthologies or any other literary source, provided the pieces meet the specific exam requirements and regulations for their chosen qualification and allows them to fulfill the Assessment Criteria to the best of their abilities. This also applies to pieces from Volumes 4 and 19 used as Own Choice.

Own Choice Pieces selected must not be set anywhere in the current LAMDA Anthologies (Volume 5 and 20). Pieces selected for a Learner’s Set and Own Choice piece must be completely different and cannot share any text.

For reference, please see our latest statement here: https://www.lamda.ac.uk/news/new-anthologies-syllabi-update-lamda-exams

*IMPORTANT: the Set Piece chosen by the Learner must correspond to the specific subject and grade taken (i.e, for Acting Grade 1, Learners must prepare a Set Piece taken from the Grade 1 selection).

Should there be any doubt regarding the suitability of any material presented, LAMDA would always recommend that an alternative be chosen.
