If it is feasible LAMDA will send out examiners to visit your centre in person. LAMDA has set tour date periods where examiners travel to different countries to examine in-person. This way, an examiner can visit several different centres in the same trip. This helps smaller centres that might not otherwise have enough learners to justify a tour as we can place them together or, in conjunction with a larger centre in a similar area.
International in-person tours do not currently include any public centres; therefore, you must be registered as a Private Centre to request in-person tour dates.
In-person tours must be requested by email at exams@lamda.ac.uk at least 13 weeks prior to the exam request date.
Once your tour dates have been confirmed (you will receive an email with this information roughly 12 weeks before your exam dates) your scheduler will be in touch with the Centre Coordinator (CC) to request they complete learner entries and payment. During this period, if there is any important information that should be passed on to the examiner or LAMDA, please let us know as soon as possible.
We ask that Centre Coordinators (CC) provide any helpful information about the local area including recommendations for hotels, transport links and any information about the centre that might be important for the examiner to know prior to their arrival. If the CC or centre is able to provide any additional assistance with lunch or food and drink, it is always appreciated.
In the lead up to your exam, the examiner will travel across to your country and stay in a local hotel. On the day of your sessions the examiner will arrive before the first exam to set themselves up in the examination room. Once they are set up and it is time, a steward should check the learners name and exam and escort them into the exam room. The steward will then leave, and the exam will take place. The examiner will also confirm with the learner, their name, the exam and grade they are taking.
After the exam is finished, the steward will escort the student away from the exam room and complete the same process for the next learners.
The room in which the examination takes place should adhere to guidelines in our International Private Centre Guide (pg. 18 Sec. 4.3).

After the exams, LAMDA will need some time for the team to process the results which will then be posted to you.
