We ask teachers to check the publication details found inside the copy of the text - this will give the date of the publication. There may be an original publication date and them a date of a later edition. We would take the date of the original publication unless the later edition had significant revisions to the piece chosen and the play overall, then we would go by the date of the revision (if this is what was presented).
